This brake was a nice, easy to install addition to my Greg Diamond custom vintage road bike. Allowed needed extra clearance for wider tires. Good looking also!

Strong, Pretty, Good for racks

I got this brake to replace a vintage Weinmann I had been using on a fixed-gear conversion. I assumed the braking power would be about even, but the Dia-Compe would run smoother and be shinier. Yet not only is it smoother and shinier, it is *much* stronger. Since I've only got the one brake on this bike, the extra power is greatly appreciated. Additionally, the way it bolts to the fork is miles easier for setting up a rack that attaches at the crown than the vintage brake. The 610 far exceeded my expectations!
