worked great for about 3 or 4 knives but the diamond disk lost its grit and is fairly smooth. I have used an pencil eraser per the cleaning instructions but no significant change.

Absolutely love this sharpener. It has made sharping so much faster and less messy, compared to whetstone. Will be buying more disc's for courser and fine tuning.
