Great Combo Set
Let’s get the Nakiri out of the way: it’s fine. Pretty sharp, very durable, and comfortable to use.
Now for the star of the show, the Chai Dao. I love it. It’s basically a tall, more rounded Santoku. It’s one of those knives that, for me, is actually fun to use. Not just easy and efficient, but fun. Amazing clearance due to the height, came with a great edge, virtually nothing sticks (that isn’t super starchy), and it’s tough as nails being a Wusthof Classic. I’d highly recommend the Chai Dao. Since you can get it for a nominal fee more in this set than as a standalone, I’d say just go for the set. A smaller Nakiri comes in handy. Five stars!

Great Wustof Classic Duo
These knives were a Christmas present and I used them on Christmas while preparing a beef stew. The Chai Dao chopped onions, celery and carrots with ease and cut potatoes to size. I really like the curved blade on the Chai Dao to compliment our 8" Chefs knife. I used the Nakiri to finely mince fresh herbs and slice mushrooms. These will nicely compliment our existing block set.

Sharp comfortable.
Love the knives. Plenty of prep for the holidays. Happy with weight and handles.
