Rich, full-bodied, and really dark, this one reminds us of s'mores at a campfire - maybe on the beach of one of the Great Lakes it's named for.

Homes blend very balanced but NOT dark roasted
This makes a very acceptable cup of coffee. I would not classify it as a dark roast it is more a Medium roast. It does have a good balanced coffee flavor. Again as I have mentioned in my previous reviews I asked for a dark roast selection. I think that there are different interpretations of what is actually a dark roast and I could be very wrong on what my thoughts of a dark roast is. I feel it is like a French roast. Some roasters feel like they just can't go that dark they feel like they are BURNING the beans, I guess. I use Starbucks French roast and Cafe Verona as a base line for judging what I consider a "Dark" roasted coffee. Great coffee flavor not acidic, gets right in your mouth! The first coffee brand you shipped me (PT's Coffee Ad Astra) was awesome it was actually a dark roasted coffee and I would purchase that every time, but I enjoy exploring other roasters choices too.
