Installing this item is straightforward. However, to do so you must first remove the factory dust collection. The video on YouTube for installation on a DW718 did not mention that there is a second screw holding the OEM dust pipe inside the saw base. The video shows the pipe simply sliding out after removing one screw. But you must remove both.

It took some YouTube research to verify the T30 screws that needed to be removed and reused, but it was all the help I needed. One of the screws would not loosen, so I used a hammer drill to get it started. I have already made a blade change which gave me practice removing and reinstalling the dust collector on my DW718. It is a big help in reducing the dust.
