Dust Collection Chute for Metabo/Hitachi 12" Miter Saw

After several months of use I feel I can truly give an honest opinion. Using it on my Metabo sliding miter saw I can say while it doesn't make the saw dust free, it does help collect about 85% of the dust and that makes a huge difference in my shop. I am very satisfied.

I haven't bought an extraction system, to test with my Metabo C12RSH3, but there was nothing in the sawdust bag the first dozen times I used it. After installing this chute, I made maybe 3 test cuts on some 2x4, and my word... The bag was half full, and it was DENSE. There's no way this will disappoint once I add suction. Great work.

This was easy to install, after cutting off the part as instructed. I’m still working on the enclosure for my saw but I’ll need to add a port, or maybe two near the bottom since most of the dust and chips are blowing straight back when the saw is moved all the way back. That’s not a fault of this add on, just a symptom of the lousy dust collection with this saw.
