Extremely Impressed
Kit was well thought out, build guides well writen and easy to follow, and great explanation of the circuit throughout. Best part though is having an amazing sounding preamp at the end. Fun to build, and an absolute joy to use.

I'll be needing a Pair, actually........
I am a couple days into life with my 73P Preamp and I was impressed from point of opening the box through passing first signal. The Kit was very interesting and fun to build. I was in awe listening to my basement sounds in headphones, no noise but the dehum and fan. Really nice and quiet, with plenty of gain. Bring the Trim up abit, and this thing can get LOUD CLEAR. I'm going to have fun with this, I need to set the gain staging critically. I would say Intermediate to advanced in skills needed, and good soldering skills and a small point iron required. Following the instructions, and performing the checks along the way and it is hard to fail. Two Carnhill transformers, nice clean logical board layouts, and excellent inside arrangement of stacked boards. Read and follow the Manual! :-)

Best of two worlds
I have always wanted to get into the audio engineering side of music, and found the 73 diyRE pre amp to be a great introduction to understanding pre amp topology. On top of this very fun build, I ended up with an amazing sounding pre amp!
