Excellent Utility Knife
Messermeister calls this a utility knife (it's made in Italy) but if it were made in Japan it would be called a Kiritsuki petty. It's a very useful size and shape if you don't need or want something along the lines of an eight inch chefs knife. It's well made and well balanced and has the weight that some knives of this style lack to allow for decent chopping and not just slicing. And carbon steel is a great material for a knife blade in terms of hardness, ability to take and retain a sharp edge and to easily resharpen when necessary. It just needs the extra care that comes with a metal that can rust and is sensitive to strong acids. If that's a problem don't buy this knife; if it's not this could be a great knife to own.

The Best
The knife itself is light weight and very sharp. Its great for alot of cutting . Fells like a feather and glove in your hands.
