I wore my ‘Be Mine’ today and had several compliments. Having listened to other sewers I decided to size down and probably could have gone another size down. I know it’s an oversized style but even another size down would still give me that. I omitted the front and back seams as the pattern on the fabric is huge and I didn’t want to cut into it. The sleeves are gorgeous, an unusual style which attracted me to the top in the first place and they didn’t disappoint. I think I misunderstood the hem band instructions as it confused me and didn’t seem deep enough so I cut another one effectively giving me a double ‘deeper’ hem band. Have another one planned already, another size down. Really enjoyed this sew.

Broad Back

I am relatively happy with the finished article. It took a lot of fiddling to get the size right. I ended up with a basic 12 as per upper bust, reduced to a 10 for the shoulders, neckline, armscythe and sleeves. I reduced the overall width by not allowing for size 20 waist as hips are still 12. I do this type of alteration quite freqently on other patterns, as having loose fitting garments do not suit my body shape - broad back, small shoulders neck plus a lot of my upper bust measurement is in my back, and my bust measurement is also not in my breasts but in my back
