The Fiona Top has been the first Top in a long while where I did not have to do any of the usual alteration and muslins. Fitted perfectly first time round. will be making many more next summer.

Nice blouse pattern
Really like the Fiona pattern and find that it, as all the Sinclair patterns I've made, fits me very well. However, I am not fond of ruffle or flounce sleeves so added a different cap sleeve. It turned out OK, but I'm going to try a different sleeve next time. Would really like an option made by Sinclair for sleeves.

A true cut-and-sew experience
I really enjoyed sewing the Fiona Woven Top. The pattern was easy to sew and came together beautifully. The pattern is size inclusive, and I was especially impressed that the E/F cup option was already drafted, so I didn’t have to make any adjustments myself. That made fitting so much easier. The E/F cup option was almost perfect for me, which was such a refreshing change. Normally I have to do a large full bust adjustment (FBA), but with this pattern I didn’t need to make any alterations at all. What stood out the most is how well it’s drafted for a larger bust. Often, patterns that accommodate a bigger bust end up being too large in the upper bust, and the shoulder seams don’t sit correctly. With this pattern, everything just worked — the fit was spot on straight out of the pattern. I also really appreciated the use of French seams. It means that even sewists without a serger can confidently make a woven top without worrying about fraying. The French seams do take a little more time, but the result is beautifully neat on the inside and outside, which makes the extra effort completely worth it. It was truly a cut-and-sew experience, which is rare and very appreciated. Highly recommended!
