Worker Trouser (Mens) PDF Pattern

Great pattern!!

I made these pants for my partner, we are both elated with the results. The pattern instructions are great. The trickiest part was the fly construction, for which I found the instructions a bit confusing (I went for the button fly), but the link for picture instructions was truly welcomed. It made it far easier to get through. The fit of the pants is mostly great, but I had to taper the shape of the leg at the thigh because the fabric I chose was a but to stiff and made for a rounded effect I wasn't a fan of. This was the first time I sewed pants for my partner, and I was expecting to have to try a few patterns before finding one we both liked. However, this pattern is so great that the search stops here!! I recommend this pattern to anyone who is looking for a classic style!

Great pattern, ok fit

I'm nearly done with my pair of men's worker trousers, and overall I'm really happy with the pattern. The instructions were generally really clear and detailed. I'd say this is definitely an intermediate pattern as there are a few tricky steps, especially when constructing the fly (I went with the zip fly option, for reference). The end result of these more challenging steps is a very high-polish, professional-looking finish to all of the detailing. As for the overall fit of the pants, there is a lot to like and one particular aspect that I wasn't a fan of. The fit through the legs is really nice - they have a classic cut that reminds me of work trousers like Dickies but isn't formless or baggy. My main qualm with the fit (and the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5) is that the zip/crotch area was a little baggy/awkward on the pair I made - possibly either because of excess fabric or because the zip has a lot of layers and is on the long side (I made these in a medium - S/M/L all use the same zip pattern pieces so it's possible this fit is different in other sizes). I think you can see a little bit of the fit I'm describing in the model photos on this page as well. This is of course subjective and the fit will feel different for everyone - so not writing this to ward anyone off from buying this pattern! Overall it's a really solid pattern, especially if you're looking to sharpen your sewing skills and come away from it with a very polished, well-made garment.

Awesome Pattern

Made these. I made the largest size but I'm a big guy so had to add about 2 inches per panel. Turned out awesome. The fit is super comfortable. The workshop made it easy. The inside of these looks super professional. I'm gonna make a bunch now.
