This was an enjoyable project. The instructions were quite clear and easy to follow. I did however find the collar challenging as it was difficult to get a nice clean curve on the collar band. According to the measurement chart, I fall between a size 12 and 14, and based on other reviews, I sized down to a 10 and my shirt is still exceedingly roomy. I will make this lovely shirt again, but will size down to an 8.

Why did I wait so long!

Well I am so glad that I finally got around to making this gorgeous blouse. I made 3 versions each slightly different from the original version. I chose to omit the cuffs in favour of a relaxed gathered sleeve. The pink shirt has gathers and pin tucks, hacked from another of my favourite shirts by a different designer. I downsized by one size from my normal, these shirts are all a size 16 and are very loose and comfortable,but don’t look massively big when on. I used light weight cotton for each, a gorgeous duck egg blue chambray, a white shirting fabric which was a little bit stiffer and finally a fantastic pink cotton that is as light as a feather. I think I will make a final one with white linen and try the cuffs this time. Yet again another fantastic pattern from Hetty and team . Love it 🥰

A nice relaxed shirt, still very roomy, even sized down. The pattern description does make this clear though, so that's ok. A very enjoyable sew.
