Der Rippenstrick-Sweater ist echt ein Hingucker!
Er ist auch für Anfänger nicht schwer zu nähen und den eigenen Massen gut anzupassen. Mal etwas anderes!

Stylish Sweater
A quick make and super stylish finish. Instructions very clear and detailed. I downsized to an 8 in a french terry medium weight which was a great fit, not baggy but roomy enough for a T-shirt underneath. I was not sure about sewing the high neck option but glad I did as it looks good and stays in place. The Sweater goes equally well with a smart pair of trousers or a pair of joggers, especially the Sunday Trackies, which I have also made. I used an overlock stitch on my sewing machine for the cuffs rather than overlock as they needed to be kept taut and I didn't want any mishaps! I have just finished sewing my second Rib Sweater and they are my go to tops for ease and comfort.

Perfect tracksuit
I was looking for a tracksuit that I could wear over my yoga clothes when I go to the gym. Clearly the nicest ensemble I could find was the Rib Sweater and Sunday Trackies. To find the right size, I sewed a sample piece with a natural white sweatshirt fabric made of pure cotton, which I could get cheaply. At first I wanted to dye the fabric, but then I decided on a coarse-knit ribbed fabric in an egg-yolk color, which turned out to be a wonderful color combination. I made the first pair of trousers in size 14 and have now made another pair in size 12, which fits better. I shortened the legs slightly below the knee, but I missed a line in the pattern to shorten or lengthen them. I also shortened the second sweater slightly, both times in size 12, but I also missed the aforementioned line. The ribbed fabric stretches further than expected, which is why I chose the pattern piece for size 10 the second time. For a tracksuit, which can be very casual, this doesn't matter. Overall, however, it would be nice to know how much the ribbed fabric should stretch. Processing: All instructions are visually appealing and easy to follow. Both pieces are quick and easy to sew, preferably with an overlocker. Unlike the instructions, I sewed the sleeve, which has no extra width, to the front and back before closing the side seams and then closed the sleeve and side seams with a continuous seam. With the wide ribbed fabric, I had to pin the ribs neatly together so that they didn't shift when sewing them together. It worked well on the third attempt. I made a template for the trouser pockets. I always use the cardboard from old gallery invitation cards for this. Now that I already have two nice light-colored tracksuits, I have an olive-colored sweat fabric on hand that I will combine with a light blue-gray ribbed fabric. With the few small adjustments to the pattern, these have become casual and chic garments. Also highly recommended for beginners!
