Tanrei 8" Chef's Knife
My first Damascus knife. Very attractive knife. Cuts and slices very nicely. I have small hands and the handle is just right. I looked a long time before deciding on this knife. I think I got a winner. Thank you, Zwilling.

Excellent with a couple issues
I think I got a bit of a lemon - the out-of-the box sharpness left something to be desired and the very end of the tip was bent. That being said - it was easy enough to fix with a quick sharpening session.
The look of the blade and handle are great, and the Pro-style curved bolster and handle make it incredibly comfortable to hold. It feels sturdy without feeling heavy - the weight is really nice. The blade is thin without feeling delicate or fragile.
My only other issue comes from the texturing - the damascus cladding gives the knife a bit of drag when cutting through wet or dense products, like cutting apples in half. Looking online this should lessen with time and use.
