Grateful but Cautious

I have struggled with different honey bears and even a French ceramic bowl with a special wooden tool both specifically made for honey. This glass dispenser with plastic and silicon handle/insert has been the answer to all our dripping honey issues- mostly. We have purchased 2 now. The first base broke (as it is glass). We reached out to George Town Olive Oil to buy just a base replacement but never heard a reply. So, we purchased an entire new honey dispenser. This new honey dispenser seems to not be made the same as the first only in that this one does not seal the honey in like the other. The honey slowly drips out into the base. Now we have one good base and one good honey dispenser. ***Georgetown Olive Oil, please consider strengthening your glass pieces in production & also verify all honey dispensers work properly before shipping. I only place this here since I know no other way to get your attention.***

Never going back to the honey bear! :)

Arrived in good time and in tact. The main chamber AND the bottom cup are sturdy glass. The handle & top piece is not metal; it's painted plastic, but so far it functions and looks like metal. SO much easier to use, clean, and refill than those plastic honey bears (for those of you who reuse them). I thought the bottom cup would collect a lot of dripped honey, but it never does. The stopper inside has worked really well so far and I never have to turn anything upside down anymore to get the honey to come out of a bottle. An ingenious use of gravity! Very functional and beautiful. I would buy this again for a gift.
