it works
The Omega yeast pack arrived cool and went into the refrigerator. 12 days later it was allowed to warm to room temp, 68 ºF, and swelled over 4 hours. Not a smack pack, it worked fine on warming. Yeast nutrient added to wort, one pack pitched @ 65 ºF to OG of 1.066, the airlock was busy in less than 24 hours. Fermentation still underway.

Slow Starter
This yeast took over 60 hours to begin any action. After it began it ramped up very quickly hitting a final gravity of 1.008 in less than three days. In the end it created a large amount of sediment that was not the easiest to clear.
