Shun Classic 7" Santoku Knife

Excellent Primary Knife

I've been using this knife multiple times a week for about 4 months now and has become my go-to. The fit the finish is superb. It's light weight, well balanced, and feels nimble in hand. All seams are smooth and the handle is very comfortable, with a shape the snugs nicely into a pinch grip. The knife has great geometry and glides through even root vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes with ease. I got it on sale for about $115 and it is an absolute steal for that price. Highly recommend.

Shun never disappoints. This is everything you’d expect out of a santoku but better.

Great knife

I am amazed just how quickly this has become my go to knife. I stil use my Wusthof and Henckel chefs knives for heavy duty use, but for chopping veggies the Shun is the knife I grab. It is amazingly sharp. Handle feels good in my hand. Nicely balanced. I have had German knives for many years and love them. I decided to try a Santoku knife and am happpy that I did. Great knife.
