Great Prep Knife
This is a great “little” prep knife that gets the job done. For the price it’s hard to beat (purchased on sale). It’s tough, durable, but has a fine enough edge that it borders on being a cost effective laser. While not especially attractive (not a fan of Wusthof’s handles) if taken reasonably well care of, it will outlast many more expensive knives. Wusthof is the Duracell of knives in my opinion. Highly recommended to all, especially beginner/novice home cooks though.

great knife for those middling jobs
as always the Wusthof classic series delivers... this is great when a 3' or 8" blade is just too much!!

A great knife for intermediate jobs
I’m becoming a big fan of Japanese style cutlery but they can be a bit hard to sharpen if one is not experienced in proper sharpening due to the hardness of their steel. Now Wüsthof has come along and introduced Japanese style cutlery but made with Western-style demands and functions. This kiritsuke style blade is perfect for prep work and intermediate tasks. The length is perfect for this. It’s traditional Wüsthof style and construction contributes to any task. As always with my experiences with Cutlery & More, I’ve yet to have a problem or negative experience.
