Fenders Are Solid, Instructions Are Not

Nice fenders; some installation details
I put these fenders on a Solterra 2.5. They're nice and light and don't look too much like your granny's bike. Here in the rainy PNW, fenders are a good thing to have.
These came with a really basic installation diagram but no step by step instructions. The front fender is pretty straightforward. With the rear fender I had to loosen the axle nuts and drop the tire. There's a tab at the bottom of the forward end of the fender that fits and fastens UNDER the frame. There isn't room between the tire and frame to slide that tab into place. Replacing the tire wasn't working until I realized there's a tang on the inner washer of the axle on each side that has to line up with the slot in the frame that receives the axle. I found it easier to do this work with the bike upside down. BUT! After I got the rear fender installed, I realized I MIGHT have been able to slide the fender in from the bottom for the bike, in the gap between tire and frame (with the bike upside down) and around the tire until that tab at the front end of the fender stops where it needs to. I don't know if that's possible but I think it is and that would save having to loosen the rear wheel. I have a second Solterra 2.5 that I'm going to put the same fenders on and I'll see if the slide-the-fender-around-the-tire thing works.
But the fenders seem nice now that they're on.
