Large Flattening Plate

Does what it advertises! Large plate that flattens stones.

This thing is big- almost as big as 6 standard sized stones lined up side by side, so you've got plenty of room to work with this plate. With harder stones like Shapton Pros and Shapton Glass it leaves a slight scratch pattern, but it actually feels nice and doesn't affect sharpening so far as I can tell. Softer stones such as Suehiro Rika 1k & 3k flatten faster and come off with a nice smooth finish. I don't have any other types of stones to compare but for what I have this flattening plate is fantastic!

A beast.

This thing is huge, I’ve been using it to correct gross stone dishing and releveling my stones. It gets the job done but I wouldn’t expect it to be used as the everyday general flattening device, unless you’ve got the room for it.
