I’ve bought the level mix several times, and it’s a great product! The only thing that bugs me is that it tends to be wet when I get it. I have to shovel it onto a tarp and let it soak up the sun for a few days, turning and raking it every day to make sure it dries evenly. I also have to cover it up at night and when it rains to keep it from getting re-soaked. After about a week, it’s finally dry enough to spread on the lawn. If SS kept it covered to keep it dry enough to be used right away, it would definitely get a 5-star rating!

Leveling soil

It takes a bit of trial and error to find the best way to massage this soil down to my Bermuda grass lawn's roots & keep the "green" exposed to sunlight. Once sorted the job is pretty straightforward. After just a week with diligent watering, my grass seems happy. Still a long way to go with the deeper dips. Evidently there were many rotting stumps (reminents of decades old stump grinding) below grade level.
