Making lathe turned angels requires 5/4 x 3in diameter for the wings. It’s fairly easy for me to acquire 3x3x6, 8 or 10 for the bodies. Ash wide grains standout when finished with white pickling stain. Hate having to sacrifice and use hard maple. Will be buying more of the ash now. Your other project ready woods are also awesome.
