Best fitting top.

I sew the Springfiels top according to the size the site gave me with my measuments. I had a bit of a trouble figuring out how to go around with the half lining. I also had to give an extra 1/4 of an inch to every seam allowance. But this top fits me beautifully ; better than any top sow or purchased. The armscye is perfect : high enough, no gaping. Great little summer vest top

Easy and quick vest tops. Made both in one day. The cream and black one first time out in a viscose linen with small side splits at the hem and bias bound armholes and neck. The second one I made in a bright ochre double gauze then remembered double gauze makes extremely poor bias binding so raided my stash for a suitable alternative. Also placed this bias tape around the bottom to balance the top placements. Both were made from a just one metre of fabric x140cm wide. Size 20 G/H. The “patchwork” nature of the pattern enables this. Well designed Cashmerette!

Great first sew

As a new to sewing beginner, this was a great first garmet to try to make in full. It turned out well, and I am now making my second!
