Turner Dress
I love this dress! It was a quick and easy sew. I made a 12 C/D cup graded to a 14 at the waist and hips. The size calculator said grade back to a 12 at hips but I did not do that. I added the pockets found on the Cashmerette website and lengthened the skirt by 3 inches for a midi length. The fabric was an Art Gallery knit, 95% cotton and 5% spandex, purchased from Children’s Corner, Nashville, Tennessee. The instructions are clear and there’s a sew-along on the Cashmerette website. The dress is extremely comfortable—almost like a nightgown. The V-neckline is flattering and not too low. I have already ordered fabric from Mood Fabrics for another Turner. This time I’m going with a ponte that does have 50% stretch. This version will have the 3/4 length sleeves. I’ll use a lighter weight fabric for the pockets and lining.

My Turner Dresses
So far I have made 3 Turner dresses, all lovely. I have another cut out. I made a couple prior to a trip and I wore them for travelling. This dress really is like a secret comfortable nightgown. Amazingly, you look stylish and put together at the same time. As far as construction is concerned, it is so easy to sew. I used my serger for the most part. This is now my go-to knit dress. Go for it!

Perfect fit
It was the night before a wedding and I needed a dress to wear. I downloaded the turner dress pattern and printed. Went to my stash and got some fabric, cut and sewed this dress in 1-1/2 hours and it was a perfect fit! I received many compliments at the wedding. I will make several of these dresses, very comfy and really flatters my apple shape, 38 G bust. I used a Liverpool knit fabric.
