Love this pattern!
This pattern has quickly become my go-to top pattern. It’s a quick and easy sew (especially if you make the turtleneck version and don’t need to sew a neck binding), but it fits beautifully. The instructions are easy to follow, and the split hem and (optional) waist tie are a nice touch that make it feel a little fancier that a t-shirt dress without being fussy. It works with so many types of knit fabrics - a tee shirt in jersey, a long-sleeved tunic in French terry, a cosy turtleneck dress in a thick quilted knit. The Pembroke has become a staple in my wardrobe for all seasons.

beautiful dress
I made this dress while pregnant, using the nursing expansion so that I could still wear it after baby came. It was a quick and easy make, directions were clear, and minimal adjustments were needed. I had a tough time with the neckline, but I'm certain it's because I didn't match up markings as I should have, therefore it was my own fault! I should have followed the instructions instead of assuming I just knew what to do. I love this dress and I will definitely make more.

Quick Sew - perfect for bold prints
I made a size 18 G/H cup in a firm ponte. This was a quick sew dress for me, if you have a bold print or an interesting fabric and don’t want a lot of seams to have to pattern match or interrupt a large design its a great design with just a back, front, sleeve and optional belt. I am super happy with my toile dress. It looks great from the front and gives me the waist shape that I like.
