Bottle Rocket by Gossamer Gear

Extremely lightweight, and fits my bottle nicely!

I got the garage ground gear 420 pack. This fits right on it like a glove big like bottle slides in and out of it absolutely perfect thank you

Didn't like the way it attaches on Zpacks pack

I have a Zpacks backpack. I was looking at the Zpacks bottle holder, but it was double the price of this one. I decided to give this a try. I think this is well made. I have seen criticisms of the construction of these Gossamer Gear sleeves from years past, but I think they have addressed issues with being able to put bottles back into the sleeve one-handed. The sleeve now has a cuff around the opening which holds the rim open so it's easy to drop your bottle back in. It also has an elastic band to hold the bottle in the sleeve when you bend over. My issue with this sleeve is that I don't like the way it attaches to my Arc Haul backpack. The Arc Haul only has vertical daisy chain loops on the shoulder straps. The sleeve is too loose for my liking. I am pretty sure it would stay in place and keep the bottle contained, but when you have a full water bottle in it and you're hiking on the trail, I think it would be swinging back and forth with your stride and hitting you in the shoulder and chest. I feel like a pack that has horizontal attachment points on the shoulder straps would allow for a more secure attachment because you could use the velcro attachment straps on the back. With the right attachments points on your shoulder straps, I think this could be a decent water bottle sleeve. Just not great with my particular pack.
