The Pro Saucier — Loop Handles

TLDR 4/5 stars for flawless performance and design, which outweigh the finish issues I experienced. I'm a repeat customer, and this is the second 11" Pro Saucier I've purchased. The first one, which I bought in 2021, was marketed as "slightly flawed" and discounted accordingly — yet to this day, I still can't tell what the flaw was. It's a beautiful piece, inside and out, and has been an absolute workhorse in my kitchen. It performs flawlessly and has held up incredibly well. Because of that great experience, I purchased a second one in 2025. Unfortunately, this time the quality wasn't the same. The first pan I received had visible rings/marring and palpable grooves along the outside. It didn’t look or feel like a finished piece. I exchanged it, but the available replacements all had similar issues. I chose the one with the least visible flaws on the outside. Alas, when exchanging I was too focused on the outside of the saucier. Once I got home, I noticed two small, shiny tool marks right on the lip of the pan where one of the handles connects. It's a minor detail, but it reinforces the feeling that the fit and finish aren't what they used to be. That said, this saucier still performs beautifully. I love the shape, depth, and weight. Before repurchasing, I did search for less expensive alternatives, but none of them had the same depth or compact dual loop handle design. The alternates all had a long handle that gets in the way, and even a scant 1/4" off the depth of my Blanc would leave me with spillage now & then. This pan still stands out for its functionality, but the cosmetic flaws on my second purchase were disappointing, especially at a premium price point.

This is my second Blanc Creatives product and I love it just as much as the first. I cook every night and prefer stove top to oven for most food. After years of buying and disposing of temporary cookware, I have what I need for a lifetime. The initial cost is high, but if you factor in the cost of replacing pans every couple of years (and throwing them in the trash) Blanc Creatives products are a bargain.

I have coveted one of these pans for many years after taking a southern cooking class with Gail Hobbs. I finally decided to treat myself to one! Love cooking with it- and it's currently gracing the cooktop because it's so beautiful. (there is room in the cabinet for the pan but for now it it sits on the cooktop, ready to use!)
