Expanding use of UltaMid4

I enjoy the space of the Ultamid 4 but do not enjoy the moisture or bugs of the southern US. To keep me dry and bug-free, this insert is a must. No issues with use so far and is easy to use.

Love the insert with one 2 exceptions

I camped in the Ultimid 4 w/floor insert on 2 separate occasions; my son 6’4” and husband 6’2”. I’m 5’2”. The issues I have are this, no pockets to store valuables like glasses, and the bug net tends to be loose and fall into your face at the opening. Of course my son’s face was always in the drooping Net. We tried laying at an angle and elevating the entire system to stretch it out but nothing worked. Annoying for tall men, no problem for me! I ended up tying the drooping screen outward a bit using the ties to tie back the open screen. It made it a little better.

Unbelievably light and roomy yet packs down small

This is our 1st ultralight tent and we’re very pleased with it. It’s a good idea to watch a video on how to set it up, then it is super easy. We purchased this for bike camping trips that we have scheduled but did a test run and stayed in the tent for 2 nights. In breezy conditions it was stable. Very roomy and quick to set up.
