Hard to get decent allspice here and I use it in cookies all winter so it was a great treat to find it here as whole spice. I can grind my own. Keeps it fresh!

I've never bought whole allspice before. I used it in a hibiscus tea that can be served iced or hot. Whole allspice, crushed a bit for the recipe, was one of the spices called for. I don't even normally like hibiscus tea as it's very tart, but with these spices and a bit of sweetener it had a seductive flavor. Served iced, it was refreshing on a hot day. Next time for cool weather, I will add some of your cardamom, with cinnamon, as well. I look forward to learning more about how to use this delectable spice.
