Fresh Roast SR800

I’ve been using an SR540 since 2019. It was finally on its last days, so I updated to the SR800. They are very durable machines, lasting several years. My 540 roasted over 2,000 batches before retirement. The 800 provides a noticeable jump in power (temp and fan) that’s capable of almost double the batch size and produces much more even roasts. I’m extremely pleased with the product quality, price point and the Captain’s top notch service!

Great place to start with roasting. Extension tube a must. TCC videos also really helpful. Good assortment of beans too.

I had an Ambex 2K but I'm so glad I scaled down to the SR800. Less waist and therefore more opportunity to perfect my roasting in smaller batches. The Captains Coffee is an all-in-one home roasters go-to store.
