Must get the tray if you get the grass, it kept it clean and secure. If you try to get a different tray, it wont fit perfectly and will be annoying. Just get the tray!

Leia Loves her new Grass Patch

Oh my gosh, this is a lifesaver! Leia used to have accidents on the regular, even when we would take her out once or twice an hour. Now she hasn’t had an accident in 6 days! Wow, I’m so happy with this product!

Tray

We did not first buy the tray, but it is a much cleaner way to go. Even though my dog is only 15 lbs., I bought the larger one so if he lifted his leg he would have more room and it would not get on our deck.
