Description
Long pepper has a history as rich as black pepper, but it is more complex in flavor. Notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger make it an all-around spicier pepper. Use it for Ayurvedic recipes, as well as many Indonesian and Malaysian ones

Better Than Black Pepper
I'm not a fan of black pepper so when I heard of this on the Tasting History YouTube Channel, I filed it in the back of my mind. I was happy to see that Spice House had it and figured I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. The flavor is so much better with a nice heat but there's a brightness. There are also hints of ginger and cardamom so all in all a more complex enjoyable flavor. I think it will be good in almost anything that calls for black pepper.

LONG PEPPER
I became aware of this spice through an old, out of print, cookbook. I was surprised to find it available at The Spice House. The flavor is subtle, unique, and difficult to pin down but quite enjoyable. I'm enamored and use it frequently. I look forward to more surprising discoveries at The Spice House.
