Gyokuro Karigane

I am trying to find a great Japanese loose leaf green tea that does well using the Cold Brew method. Nio’s video recommended Gyrokuro Karigane and Sencha with matcha. This picture is the 2nd and 3rd brew… the first brew has been thoroughly enjoyed! I did add an extra gram of tea this time to the recommended 5 grams, 6 grams for 500ml of room temp filtered water in a jar, then put in fridge for 1 hour. The second brew I leave for 3 hours and then decant into another jar of my lovely matching reused jarred fruit jars….not pretty but the size is just right! I do like the strength of 6 grams vs 5 so I can add just a couple of ice cubes so as not to dilute it too much. I am very pleased with the 2 cold brew recommendations and will order again shortly. I like to do multiple brews of a couple different strengths of teas to drink in descending order of caffeine throughout the day. Very nice teas! Thoroughly enjoying!
