Great service as usual. I had a silent Yamaha violin. In comparing the practice mute to it, the practice mute distorted the intonation in the lower registers. As far as providing a quiet violin, it did that. For someone in a situation where neighbors are complaining about sound, I would use it. However, I would find somewhere or time to play without it to hear my intonation.

Really lowers the sound, very sturdy and fits perfectly on the bridge. Very happy with this iron mute!

Amazing

This mute works amazingly well. I bought it for my daughter who is moving from piano to violin and its perfect. It mutes it so well that she can go all out, not worry about waking anyone up, especially the baby, and still hear every note. Absolutely worth the price.
