Fiberskyn Head softens Vega Senator open back banjo nicely

While many players prefer the treble accents of standard frosted banjo heads, the mellow tones of the Fiberskyn Head are welcomed as accompaniment for folk tunes in group jam sessions. The Fiberskyn open back banjo is less dominant, warbling along like another voice in the group.

I put one of these on a 1982 Basic Model I restored, along with a knotless tailpiece and heavier strings to achieve a very cool old school tone and look. Props also to the Factory Q&A Team. . . Thanks Jamie!
