Upgrading my Goodtime Americana

I put a goat skin on my Americana and my idea was that the sixteen hooks on the pot were not enough to keep the tension hoop straight on the pot. So I put an extra hook between each hook -fourteen extra hooks. That was a good idea; it worked out great and guess what? the banjo sounds better; more sustain and more middle high frequencies. It sounds like it's got a tone ring. My advice; thirty hooks on your Americana!
