Baratza Forté-AP Ceramic All Purpose Coffee Grinder

I bought the Forte to replace a seized up 12 year old Vario which had served well until its demrse. This ceramic burr version was the only one available, so I replace the ceramic burrs with steel burrs obtained from Baratza since it will be use for Chemex and other coarser grinds rather than espresso. It has the advantage of having a weight-based automatic system which works well. It uses the same burrs as the Vario and produces the same consistent grind size. In that it has an larger motor than the Vario, I expect a long productive life.

The coffee grinds that are produced are very consistent and fast and as a result my coffee tastes great.
