Baratza® Encore Coffee Grinder

Great home grinder!

I've been wanting one of these for awhile (I've been using a manual hand grinder for years) and finally treated myself this last Christmas. I primarily brew coffee using an Aeropress or Chemex and it's easy to switch grind settings for each on the Encore - just rotate the bin to desired size. Clean up is easy.

Great home Coffee Grinder

My Encore Coffee Grinder has performed just as it has been advertised for the month I have had it. My coffee is ground perfectly and tastes great! "Freshroasted Coffee Co." did a good job with my order and the coffee order. I recommend the Encore and their coffee.

First impressions of Encore burr grinder

I just received this for Christmas, so I still have to see how is will hold up. Some not so good things first; almost no instructions come with this item and it takes some fiiddling to get the burrs to seat in correctly. After I got them in I saw there is a website for a manual, better but still not great. Mostly I am surprised there is no setting to select how much to grind, you have to guess or put in a mesured amount of beans. It also makes a bit of a mess on the counter from residual ground coffee when taking the hopper out after grinding. I think to slower running DC motor and large conical burrs will make up for these inconveniences. It does make a good grind for drip, I think it made a noticeable improvement in the taste of my coffee. I use it every day and drink a lot of coffee, so my main concern is that it holds up and continues to grind well. It appears to be built well for the long run... Time will tell
