Mexican Oregano

Mexican Oregano is essential in Mexican cooking

Mexican oregano is not the same as Italian or “regular” oregano. It is a different plant family and has a citrusy and peppery taste that is essential in a lot of Mexican dishes. Gneiss spice is my go to for spices because I can get high quality refills that are sustainably packaged.

Mexican oregano is so hard to find in any stores where I live (and I live surrounded by farmers markets and bulk spice stores). Thanks to Gneiss I can refill my jar whenever the need for authentic Mexican flavor strikes. And I don't need to worry about them lowering the quality with additives and shelf stabilizers.
