This might be my new favorite dress! I made it in dark green linen and it is so pretty! The pattern was easy to follow and the instructions were very clear. I highly recommend this pattern!!!

first dress, great success!

This was my first-ever dress make and I'm extremely happy with it. My husband's review was "looks like a wedding dress" (made it out of an old white sheet, will dye it later) and it's super comfortable. I was a little worried about fit as my measurements don't fit the bust/waist combination in the size chart (bigger waist), but I went with the size indicated for my bust without modifications, and all that's needed is slightly looser lacing. That kind of fit flexibility is a real gift! Instructions were clear, though I found parsing some of the photos a little challenging. I also didn't pick up on the option to make the bodice lining out of the same pieces as the outer bodice if fabric choices allow, so next time I'm upcycling a sheet I'll hopefully remember that and save myself some time. Really looking forward to dyeing the dress, getting some matching ribbons for the laces, and wearing it everywhere.
