As someone new to sewing, this pattern was full of instructions and step by step how to videos that made my first project much less intimidating to start. I also like the upcycle suggestions for ways to be more eco-friendly. The multiple sizes & style lengths make this pattern very versatile for the investment. I would recommend this pattern for anyone looking to build a wardrobe of casual or work wear.

Love these culottes!

A few years ago I purchased this pattern and finally I had time to sew it. I really love my new culottes! The e-book was easy to follow and it was a quick project, although it was my first time sewing trousers. Maybe next time I should shorten the rise. I definitely will sew another culotte.

Lovely pattern

I made size L in the straight size version because I saw reviews that the plus sizes had more fabric in the thighs. This worked out great. I made two versions - a culotte-length wearable toile from a sheet, and a trouser-length final version from a rayon challis. In the second version, I shortened the rise by 1 inch and sewed down the pleats by an inch as the pattern suggested and the result was GORGEOUS. I look forward to wearing them all the time this spring.
