Just lovely!

Ive only made the mock-up so far but it is lovely!! The construction on the bib with the straps was a little tricky but the video instructions helped a lot with that step. Trust the instructions! Was harder than the meadow skirt but still very doable as a mid to advanced beginner. Can’t wait to make one out of my linen!

Overall good experience with a little confusion

I am really happy with the garment I got making this pattern! I made the bow ties version, and it turned out really well, and I got a lot of compliments wearing it. I really appreciated the thoroughness of the pattern instructions and the photo tutorial because I am still pretty new to sewing garments. The tutorial made it possible for this to be my third garment make ever. I did find the waistband steps confusing because the pattern calls to cut main and lining fabric for the waistband (at least for the bow ties version) but the instructions and photos do not indicate or show lining fabric. This made joining the waistband to the skirt incredibly confusing, and I ended up using a method not described in the pattern to attach these peices. Because I have made skirt waistbands before, I was able to do something else and it turned out well, but I am still confused about the waistband lining/not lining and the waistband-join to bib situation. I did enjoy making this project, and I ended with a garment I am really proud of and that I learned a lot from making. I would definitely consider buying and making other Twig and Tale patterns.
