My new favorite dress pattern
I have made two Fable dresses so far, each with a different sleeve from the Sprig sleeve set. They were easy to sew, the fit straight out of the packet is great, and I had a lot of fun with the options. Love all the help with sizing, adjustments and the excellent size range. Very clearly written, and a new favorite to stay!

Inclusive! Great for beginners
While I generally know my way around a sewing machine, I've never actually sewn a garment from a pattern. I was intimidated. Not only because of the learning curve but because I have an unusual body to fit. I'm a small fat (18-20 US) and had a unilateral mastectomy without reconstruction. With no experience on how to alter a pattern to fit, I took to the web to research how to adjust patterns for an asymmetric torso. When researching for post-mastectomy clothing, there is so little information for half-flat silhouettes. Generally it is assumed that a person is either flat on both sides or they will have reconstruction. Of course, I have a prosthetic, but I don't like wearing it. Plus, if I'm going to make a dress, I want it to fit *me* Imagine my surprise and delight to find Twig and Tale. The patterns I need, not only included in the price, but included in the initial download. I nearly cried. The size range is impressive and the ability to use layers to print only the size you need was really great. Not only that, but the website is an absolute treasure trove of information for a novice sewer. I am making this dress for a costume and do not need the button placket. Was expecting to have to figure it out myself, but the tutorial is already on the website. Wider sleeve? Instructions on the site. Fuller skirt? Instructions on the site. I am so grateful to have found my way to your shop. Thank you for helping me feel that my body is a good body like everyone else. Thank you for using clear language and including video tutorials which really help with my ADHD. Thank you for you encouragement to use upcycled materials (I'm using silk from thrifted pajama pants!) Thank you for being welcoming to new sewers. I haven't finished my dress yet (just cut it out of the "good" fabric) but I know it's going to turn out beautifully thanks to your help. Best wishes from Illinois USA

Great pattern
I am a new sewer - this was my first time following a pattern for an adult garment. It was very easy to follow, and turned out so nice! I like that it can be made to look like a totally different dress by adjusting the length and the sleeve add-on options.
