Sardines in Tomato Sauce

Chicken of the sea no more!

I grew up and have always known Chicken Of The Sea sardines in mustard sauce to be the standard representation of sardines. Oh my lord this was a whole new level. The sardines are much larger and firmer than those tiny grocery store standards. I couldn't believe they were the same type of fish to be honest. I have 3 of those old C.O.T.S sardines left, and if I eat them, it will be the last time. I have several tins of these and other offerings and I will never mind the price difference for the quality I opened today!

Texture is great, sauce is great. Definitely hand packed. Bones are almost nonexistent so it's good. Tomato sauce has perfect salinity

First time, but definitely not the last

My first time trying these, although I see them all the time. Delicious! Will be ordering again.
