Habanero Smoked Coho Salmon

It has potential

I wasn’t in love with this. It is exactly as described - habanero and salmon. The problem I had is that even though I love spicy foods , habanero itself doesn’t exactly taste great. It’s not overly spicy by any means and you can easily go through the tin without feeling like you’re regretting your decisions. This tin would probably work a lot better as an ingredient or paired with something rather than eating straight out of the can like I did. That said the salmon was perfect , large chunks and packed beautifully as always with wildfish cannery. Overall 7.5/10

Deep Smoke on the Salty side

The smoke on the salmon was deep and perfectly matched by the spicy habanero. I couldn't decide if the mysterious sweetness was from the salmon or the hot sauce, but it paired exquisitely with poppy seed dressing. The salmon was salty, so I'm glad I ate it with a salad. I like Barnacle hot sauces on their own too.

Good quality salmon. Unfortunately, I thought the habanero flavor was under whelming and there was a little too much sweetness with the glaze/sauce.
