I rely on Colpacs pretty much all day every day and wouldn't be around without them. They retain a lot of cold energy which minimizes the frequency with which I must swap them during the day. They are very durable, I am still using ones I bought several years ago with daily use. At night one of these serves essentially as the cushioned top for my pillow, which otherwise consists of a hot water bottle full of hard frozen camping ice. Wrapped in a few layers of light fabric, I can restore the degree of coolness by stripping one or two layers off in the night. Colpacs mediate the degree of cold and provide the comfort. I'd melt without them!
