Used it for a three week mountain hike, worked flawlessly keeping me and my backpack warm and dry during rainy days

Great poncho!

This poncho worked out great for a multi day backpacking trip where we experienced sun, rain, hail, and snow. The poncho covered me and my backpack, so there was no need for a backpack cover. I was able to use the various zippers and elastic bands to help regulate my temperature and keep the blowing weather out. The poncho doesn’t cover your arms, so the long sleeve wool shirt helped with temperature regulation during the hail and snow weather. The thin material blocks the wind, but didn’t cause me to overheat from being too thick. I found that with ponchos, when the water runs down the poncho, it runs down onto your pants/mid thigh down, so if you want that section to stay dry, get some rain pants or the kilt that Zpacks sells. I feel the poncho material is durable and it held up fine when brushing up against your normal, live, pine tree branches. Luckily I didn’t need to test the limits of the poncho when trekking through the sections of burned and blown down trees, where there are a lot of branches to get snagged on.
