Oh, this Elven thing! Unbelievably light but strong and just the right leverage. Fits the hand, the eye and of course, the pot. Oozes the story of iterative, user-centered design. Works with my Soto 750, but using it weekly in my uber light day hike hot lunch kit based on a Toaks 550.

I used my Pot Hopper for the first time on a quick backpack trip in Yosemite last week. The Pot Hopper is extremely light weight and it does the job adequately. I found there was too much flex in the Pot Hopper to actually tip and pour a 750 ml pot (probably filled to about 650 ml). I had no trouble using the Pot Hopper to lift the pot off the stove and place it in a cozy. I was then able to pour by gripping the cozy.
Is the weight savings worth the limited capability? Is it reasonable to pay this much for a pot gripper when I already own a few? I'm not sure. It works okay for me but I think I'd prefer a slightly heavier design with greater capability. The gripper that came with my titanium pot is four times heavier than the Pot Hopper but when 4x the weight is still only 19 grams I cannot confidently say the weight savings of the Pot Hopper justifies its expense and limited capacity.
