Silva Pocket Compass Thermometer

General direction at less than half an ounce

For a quick check to verify my general heading, this compass gets the job done. Fits easily in pants, shirt, jacket or pack pocket ... or clip it onto something with the included carabiner. At less than half an ounce, why would you leave it at home. Thermometer is an added bonus. Bruce G.

Too fragile.

Tried twice, both couldn’t handle the AT. Lovely device, but too fragile. Plastic housing will break. Good for about a week of backpacking.
