Chiba Quirelois Large Mandoline

Absolutely amazing mandoline. I thought it was going to feel somewhat flimsy but let me tell you, this thing is well made! I julienned a granny smith apple in under a minute upon unboxing. MAKE USE OF THE FINGER GUARD!

Ever since my first mandolin 20+ years ago I wanted something much wider to work with larger vegetables and this is it. It's like cutting on football field. My only complaint and this is a legitimate complaint is that they changed the design on the knob that makes thicker or thinner slices. It is VERY stiff and hard to turn. So if your older or do not have good finger strength, this may not be the product for you.
